Status on the project

It is summer outside and not much is happening on the cockpit. At least no milestones but some small things has been going on.
First of all have have made a wooden base that everything stands on. This means that I (at some point) can do the wiring to things like the pedestal underneath the floor.
I have also found a used set of CH yoke, pedals and throttle at a bargin (on €100 total). So now I have two yokes and finally also a throttle.
My own throttle that I am building is progressing VERY slowly. I have finished the right side handle by now. Thats it…
Furthermore the plate on top of the EFIS/MCP just needs a layer of black paint. But when that was finished I could also make a small window frame.
Fianlly I have bought the app “AirDisplay” ($10) for my iPad. So right now I am using it as FMC, so that is what the white frame is for. It works so-so. It works but you need to be carefull where you press. As it just is a screen you can not feel the buttons, so you have to concentrate and aim when typing. And the is a small lag. But for now it is $10 instead of €300-400.
The picture below shows the cockpit right now. When I see it, it seems clear that I need to work a bit on the finish. A paintbrush here and there will do wonders. 🙂
I have to ask. How do you get other computers to handle your displays and sounds. Please help explain this. As I am building one also soon.
Sorry I forgot to sub to replies.
