Chairs

Up untill now I’ve used an office chair for cockpit. Not the prettiest of solutions but it worked.

OEM chairs are like €1500 each – That sums up very quickly. So like so many others I have got my hands on some car seats. Price for 3 chairs was €75.

They are from a Ford S-Max which is a pretty wide car so I have three individual seats. One for the captain one for first offices site and one I can use as jumpseat

So yet another project on top of all the others I’ve got going at this point. 🙂

I need to make a base for these chairs in order to get them in the correct height. It’s going to require a bit of work because the seats are tilted upwards to add support for the legs. But in a cockpit the cushion is straight instead of upward. So I have to raise the back to make it level.

Shouldn’t be that difficult. The only difficult task here is gonna be fixing the chairs on the the structure as I don’t have the mounting hooks from the car.
