A small note on wheels

The wheels I found for the cockpit can handle 100 kg each. That sums up to 400 kg as long as the weight is evenly distributed.

Hopefully that will be enough. I thought that with two persons in the cockpit that leaved around 260 kg for the structure. That should be sufficient. But it takes more wood than you would think at first to make this.

I bought “soft” wheels made out of rubber. Perhaps hard plastic would have been a better choice. It only took me five minutes to put black rubber marks on our new expensive floor.

So I had to wrap all wheels in white tape.

Wife is not going to like. So I am going to put some plastic bags between the wheels and the floor.

Below you can see the wheel in two layers of white tape.

hello peter . why do you not cover the floor , thats better for the floor , and a wooden floor with screws on the floor is not a good idea. But nice you get back in your men cave , i follow you. greets from the netherlands dennis
