Happy New Year

img_9797A happy new year to everyone around the globe following the progress of my small home cockpit project.

It is now two months since we moved to the new house and the cockpit is still laying around in a corner (Okay to be honest it is not a corner – more like half a room).

But after moving in our focus has been on renovating the house; new floors, a new kitchen. And then the cockpit had to wait until all the other things was cleared from the room. This has given me time to think.

So far I have decided to build a new shell using the Simujabs layout.

And at some point – once we have finished using all our money on renovating the house – I also plan to buy two short throw projectors and make a 180 degrees curved screen.

But this is what it looks like right now.

I wish all my fellow builders a happy and prosperous 2017

If building a cockpit is hard, I can’t imagine how is to build one, unbuild and build again. Your my “hero”, keep the good work. Looking forward to see that cockpit build again.

      Thanks a million.
The rebuild has been postponed because I still need to do a bit of renovating on the house. Right now I am preparing the living room for the new wooden floor that I plan to install in the weekend.

I will be watching your build closely as I too am thinking about building a shell using the Simujab plans. I have not started yet.. still in research mode. Renovations are ok..but definitely not as much fun as cockpit building 🙂

At least I finished mounting the wooden floor in the living room last weekend. Still two guest rooms to go before I can devote more time to the cockpit.
