Faulty DisplayCard?

3

26. April 2013 by Peter

One of my OpenCockpits display cards is starting to behave strangely.

On this COM1 panel the left figure is connected to one DisplayCards. The numbers to the right are connected to another displays card.

The strange thing is that all 7-segments works perfectly. But certain numbers are not shown correctly by the mastercard.

Free from memory: 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 DOES NOT work as suppose to.
4, 5, 6, 8 WORKS perfectly!

So if the frequency in stead was 128.855 then the last four digits would not have any problems.

Anyone else have experienced this?

    Did you figure it out?

No. Not yet. But I have two DisplayCards with the same “feature”. They are both kit/home build. My third is ordrerd ready-to-use from OpenCockpits and that one works flawsless.
As I have two cards with the same “feature” I do not suspect a faulty card.
      Cheers Peter

By the way. I solved it a few months later. I turned out to be my DIY MasterCard. I had two or three places where the soldering not was good enough. So a bit of re-soldering and everything works fine.
