About bloody time I got started

An old friend of mine gave me a call the other day and asked if we would like a visit in a few weeks time. “How is the cockpit coming along? I can’t wait to show me kids a man cave on steroids!”

Oh bugger! Because this is what it looks like right now

Nothing can get me motivated by people visiting us and the cockpit. So yesterday I decided to ditch all planned overhead work in favour of making the structure for the ceiling and overhead.

So here we are after two days. The OEM eyebrow windows and OEM ceiling is mounted together with my two OEM overhead frame.

The job for the next days will be the part where the eyebrow windows meets the side windows. The parts need some twisting and bending to be level with the side windows.

About BuildaBoeing

My name is Peter and I live in Denmark.
I am building the cockpit of a Boeing 737 in my basement using my limited skills and inspiration from fellow builders.
I post my progress on this blog and hope it can be an inspiration to others.
