Covering some ground

Went on a test flight with my new yoke yesterday. Just a short domestic flight here in Denmark. Actually it is one of my favorite flights; between Aalborg and Copenhagen. 25 minutes flight time. So wheels up. Climb like a rocket. Two sips of the coffee and then it is time for descend again.

It is windy outside today. So 60 kt of tailwind at FL190 had me going almost 500kt ground speed.
Neat!

By the way the test of the new yoke was a bit of a mixed bag. The yoke it self was pretty good. Smooth and all good. But making a manual landing it – of course – felt different from what I was used to. So I had a bit of difficult keeping the tin-tube level. Ended up bouncing hard off the runway and ended up sideways on a taxiway. Good thing this is just a simulator and a game. 🙂
