Danger! High Voltage!

So last week one of the power sockets in my basement more or less exploded and the basement went all dark. Not that good. The socket was an old version from back when the house was build. So i changed the socket (and the rest of the basement) to a new one hoping that solved the problem. But the next day the new socket almost jumped out of the wall with a bit PUUUUF!

So I have been disconnecting almost everything from the basement and through train and error reconnecting as much as possible without the fuse would click. So far there are electricity in most of the basement. Except the socket that exploded twice and then the entire cockpit.

I have been very keen on getting an earth connection to as much as possible in the cockpit. And I have no prove that something is wrong in the cockpit. But for now I will just wait a bit and see if everything is back to normal at this point. Then I might get the cockpit connected on a different circuit with its own fuse. Just so isolate things a bit.

About BuildaBoeing

My name is Peter and I live in Denmark.
I am building the cockpit of a Boeing 737 in my basement using my limited skills and inspiration from fellow builders.
I post my progress on this blog and hope it can be an inspiration to others.
